When you think of California – you think of sun’n’waves – of course!
But from November all the to June I think of Mammoth Mountain – ‘couse there’s a lot of SNOW. If you are anywhere near make sure to stop by and check out the Mammoth Unbound snow park located on the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
Official opening date for 2013/14 winter season: 7th of November.
With its 9 terrain snow parks & an Olympic size 22-foot pipe, it’s clear why Mammoth Mountain is on every global snowboarder/skiers map.
Generally the Mountain stats include base elevation of 7,953 feet (app. 2,400 m) with around 3,500 acres of skiable area, an average of 400 inches (app. 10 m) of SNOW, 28 various lifts & terrain can be divided in following percentages 15% expert, 20% advanced, 40% intermediate and 25% beginner slopes.
